With the advantages of a retractable system your performance will be optimised as you can easily adjust the height of the propeller to differences in water depth or load.
The tiltable system has a break-pin systems to prevent any damage in case you might hit something. These pins will break and the propeller will automatically tilt upwards.
This type is often used on modular pontoons.
